What is variety music?

Varieté is a French term used to identify a show of varied art.

 

The varieté style of music is associated with pure entertainment. It goes beyond the cultured genre in which the great classical composers of the past are related and the contemporary music of the twentieth century.

 

The varieté was born as a form of entertainment, including different musical genres, such as: from the traditional popular music of various countries, to the French musette, to Italian smooth music, from milonga to tango, from blues to jazz, pop music, rock, fusion, ethnic, film music and everything that represents freedom of expression, improvisation and arrangement.
